Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-English and half-Spanish woman, was born on the 16th of April 1997 in Miami Florida. The daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. Her father is Argentine, of Scottish-English descendance. Her mother is Spanish and has English roots. Taylor Joy is the youngest of four siblings, one from each of her parents' previous marriages. The family is initially located in Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria at the age of 6 when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor Joy said the move from Buenos Aires, to Victoria was difficult, and she didn't take the time to learn English in hopes of going back to Argentina. Her school had to change between Northlands in order to attend Hill House. Then she enrolled in Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and appeared in plays. At 16, she left school in order to explore acting as a profession. From a young age Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to work as an actress. her goals were realized when she was given an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
