Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor director, producer, and teacher of St. Thomas University). Anna Silk was the child of a British father and an British-born Turkish Cypriot mother. As a child, she was featured in a variety of commercials. Anna moved to Toronto, Ontario, in order to pursue acting. Over the years which followed, she relocated into Los Angeles. Seth Cooperman met Anna at a Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. They were engaged. Anna was a convert to the Jewish faith in 2011 after converting to Judaism. They got married civilly in December of that year and then renewed their vows in the Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton on April 11, 2011.
